| There are significant
amounts of QEC equipment installed on both the CF6 and
JT3D.
The CF6 powers three principal airframes, the Boeing
747, the Airbus A300 and the Douglas DC10. QEC equipment
overhaul is maintained in house to permit conversion
of a customer engine from one airframe configuration
to another, or simply provide maintenance, repair or
overhaul operations on installed QEC equipment.
The JT3D powers two principal airframes, the Boeing
707 and Douglas DC-8. QEC overhaul on fan and turbine
thrust reverse components is maintained in house. |
